First place and $2500 in scholarship money has been awarded to Nicholas Taylor. Taylor is a 2009 graduate of C.E. Byrd High School. Taylor is the Caddo Parish and C.E. Byrd High School Student of the Year and a winner of the Masonic Lodge Honesty & Integrity Award. Taylor was Quiz Bowl Team Captain, an ambassador in the Top Jackets group, a member of National Honor Society and a Lacrosse team member. Taylor plans to attend the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and pursue a chemistry major.
