Scholarship Opportunity

If you are a Senior and ready to take the next step from home to a college campus Bossier Federal Credit Union would like to help you on your way to a higher education.  Bossier Federal has established a scholarship opportunity for any high school senior in Caddo, Bossier or Webster Parish entering college in the Fall of 2026.  Any student interested in this opportunity simply needs to turn in a completed application, a current official transcript, and a typed, double-spaced essay of approximately 500 words.

The assigned essay topic is: MacKenzie Scott has become widely known for her large‑scale philanthropic giving, donating billions of dollars to organizations that address social, economic, and educational inequities. Imagine you were given one million dollars to donate. Which organization or organizations would you choose to support, and what values, goals, or personal experiences would guide your decision? Develop a clear argument explaining your choices and the impact you hope your donation would make.

Bossier Federal’s scholarship program will award $2,500 in scholarship money this year! For more information on requirements and the selection process, please see our scholarship application. Applications are available online, via the link below.  All applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM CST online by March 13, 2026, for consideration.  Winner(s) will be notified no later than March 27, 2026.
