Our Story

Bossier Federal Credit Union was established in 1954 and founded on the credit union principle of people helping people.

Originally chartered to serve the civilian employees of Bossier Base, we started with just eight members and offered only share accounts and loans.

Over time, we became the chosen financial partner for the employees, students, retirees, and family members of such persons of the Bossier Parish School Board, the City of Bossier, and the Parish of Bossier. In addition, we also serve hundreds of businesses, organizations, churches, and associations. Today we proudly serve any person who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the parishes of Caddo, Bossier, or Webster.

Thanks to your patronage, Bossier Federal Credit Union continues to grow and offer new services to our members. Today we serve over 29,000 members holding more than $249 million in assets offering a wide range of financial products and services.

As reflected in our mission statement, we strive to meet all of your financial needs. We truly believe in the credit union philosophy, “People Helping People”.
