Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Merger of Graphic Arts Credit Union and Bossier Federal Credit Union:
- Why did Graphic Arts and Bossier Federal merge?
This merger allows us to offer members a wider range of products, services, and technology while maintaining the same commitment to personal, member-first service. By joining with Bossier Federal, Graphic Arts members gain access to:
- More branches and ATMs
- Online and mobile banking tools
- A wider range of loans and savings options
- Enhanced financial services
- Most importantly, you’ll remain a member-owner — just like today.
- When did the merger take effect?
The merger agreement was finalized on January 1, 2026, with an account transition or operational merger date of March 31, 2026. We are here to ensure a smooth transition with no disruption to your accounts.
- Will the credit union’s name change?
Yes, Graphic Arts Credit Union will now operate under the name Bossier Federal Credit Union. However, the legacy of Graphic Arts Credit Union — and the dedication to serving members with care and integrity — will continue within Bossier Federal Credit Union.
- Will my account number change?
Your current account numbers will be modified to be six digits in length, leading with ’48’ with the last digits of your Graphic Arts account number. Please see examples listed below:
- GACU #1234; Bossier #481234
- GACU #123; Bossier #480123
- GACU #12; Bossier #480012
- What happens to my loans?
Your current loan terms will not change. Your payment schedules, interest rates, and agreements remain the same. Future loans will be processed under Bossier Federal Credit Union.
- Will branch hours change?
Yes, we are excited to now offer you expanded hours of operation! The former Graphic Arts Credit Union branch will now be called Bossier Federal’s “Downtown Branch.” Hours will be Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 4 PM.
- Will I still see the same staff?
You will continue to see Mrs. Freddie Washington’s friendly face that you know and trust. Plus, she is now supported by the additional resources provided by Bossier Federal.
- What about rates and fees?
Our goal is to provide equal or better rates and lower fees through the merger. The combined credit union will have greater financial strength, allowing us to remain competitive and member-focused.
- Will my funds remain insured?
Yes, your deposits will continue to be federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to at least $250,000 per individual depositor, the same protection you have today.

ONLINE & MOBILE BANKING:
Welcome to Bossier Federal’s Online Banking Suite! We’re excited to help you get started with managing your accounts online. Please follow the steps below to set up your Online Banking access.
How to Register:
- Visit our website: www.bossierfcu.org or download our Bossier Federal Mobile App.
- At the top-right of the homepage, next to our logo, click “Online Banking.” (Skip this step in the Mobile App.)
- Click “Register.”
- Review the Home Banking Terms & Conditions, then click “Accept.”
- On the Registration page, enter the following information:
- Full Social Security Number (XXX-XX-XXXX)
- Account Number (your member number, located on the removable card in this packet)
- Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY)
- Zip Code
- After registration, choose a phone number to receive a secure verification code by call or text. You may see up to three phone numbers. If you do not recognize any of them, please contact our Online Banking Support Team at 318.742.4090. Once you receive the secure code, enter it as prompted. You will then create your User Name and Password.
- User Name Requirements:
- At least 8 characters long
- Includes one capital letter
- Includes one number
- Cannot include your first or last name, Social Security Number, or special characters
- Password Requirements:
- 12 to 24 characters long
- Includes uppercase and lowercase letters
- Includes one or more numbers
- Includes one or more special characters (such as @ or #)
You should now be able to access your accounts, view balances and transactions, transfer funds, control debit cards, set alerts, view e-statements, send secure messages, and pay bills electronically. You will also have credit score access, credit report monitoring, and real-time credit alerts! We think you’ll find Online Banking simple, secure, and convenient.
