Spend With Confidence With SMS Fraud Alerts

Bossier Federal has just added text messaging to our Fraud Monitoring suite for your credit & debit cards! Keeping your cards safe is now as simple as sending a text! Our new text alert service allows you to instantly keep tabs on suspicious card activity. We have added this new text-based service to ensure that your debit & credit cards are as safe and convenient as possible. You must also understand that while we will be verifying recent activity on your cards via text, we will NEVER request private information (personal identification numbers “PINS,” card numbers, social security numbers, birthdates, etc.). Please continue to remain vigilant against these types of texts.

How It Works

With Text Fraud Alerts, if our system detects suspicious activity on your card, you’ll receive a text message with details about the suspected transaction. All you have to do is respond to the text to confirm whether the transaction was authorized or is, in fact, fraud. 

If you indicate the transaction is fraud, you will receive another message with a number to call for follow-up. If it is not fraudulent and was an authorized purchase, you will text back, “Yes”. The system will mark the transaction as legitimate and you can get on with your day, and continue to use your cards as needed.

Getting Started

Our system will text all of the numbers that we have on file for that card number, starting with the primary phone number.  As long as we have your mobile phone number on file, you do not have to do anything. If there is suspicious activity detected, we’ll send you a text alert right away!

Add Our Fraud Department To Your Phone

Take a moment and scan the QR code to add our text message number into your contacts, or simply save 37268 as “Bossier FCU Fraud Alert” in your phone. That way you will know that it is a legitimate text message communication from Bossier Federal when you receive an alert.

How do I make sure Bossier Federal has my up to date information?

To verify or update your mobile phone number please login to the Bossier Federal Mobile App or Online Banking, select Profile, Profile Updates, and then Change Address and Phone Number.
